BLUE Institute Labs' mission is to foster collaborative innovation for a secure ocean and a healthy Blue Planet.
BLUE Institute Labs and collaborators have an agreement in place to develop "BLUE" an open-innovation ocean technology waterfront hub on Boston Harbor in the City of Chelsea to support the safe and affordable in-water access, and ecosystem development needs of blue tech, climate tech and blue economy innovators - local, regional, and global.
BLUE and collaborators are committed to community engagement, and supporting the entrepreneurial education and workforce training of the next generation.

BLUE on boston harbor
BLUE is open to startups, students, and innovators from industry, academia, NGOs and government agencies offering shared prototyping labs, lockable offices, meeting and co-working spaces, waterfront facilities, and a multi-use events space.
BLUE's phase one is a 2 acre+ location with a 30k sq ft facility, deep water pier and research vessel access, private parking, public bus/train transportation (cleantech ferry to Boston opportunity), and a unique tidal gated in-water testing and training platform for autonomous vehicles, robotics, sensors, and more.
BLUE and collaborators will offer internships, experiential learning, and workforce development programming with area high schools, community colleges, universities, and community organizations.
